need more info;

1, Do you already have an aftermarket head unit, if not start with one.

2, What do you want from the system, tons of bass or something that will fill in the sound range.

3, how much cargo room are you willing to give up.

I use MTX and Rockford Fosgate and really like them, if you answer the above questions it will be easier to recommend some models.

Look into Resonant Engineering. They are a little known company that is starting to get popular on the competition circuit, so you know they make good stuff. Their website is: www.respl.com . I have a pair of their SE 12's, and I love them. I paid under $300 for the pair.

i got an alpine head unit. i previsouly had a 600 watt system in my x but i wanted more so i sold it. i have new door speakers in it. i'm lookin for tons of bass pretty much but not all distorted sounding

how'd u get a pair of the SE's for that cheap ?

willin to give up most of it
just a lil room for like a bag or somethin just in case

Consider this, an Audiobahn 12001DQ amp (1200 watts at 1 ohm, under rated power) and 2 Rockford Fosgate RFP3212 or RFP3215 subs. The amp is $400 and both subs are $200 or $230 at www.thezeb.com

This will leave you some money left over for wiring and a box.

They were having a sale before Christmas, 50% off, it was a deal I couldn't pass up. It came out to be like $280 shipped.

Kicker makes very good subs-very reliable, you could beat these things everyday and they will still bang (as i have learned) amp wise-try to get a deal on a good amp ie: Fosgate, Audiobahn, or even something lower end but still reliable.

Actually now that I think about it you can get it for under $275 shipped... Also, you can get opinions on them all over, there are a few here, also check epinions.com and if you check www.fordtruckworld.com there is a section for amps and people have nothing but good to say about them...

Your Welcome.

Let us know what you decided on.

hell, i'll sell ya my alpine 1000 watt & 2 Orion XTR 15'S for $700

you can get a 4 pack of MA audio 12" XE's for 250 shipped on ebay, and get a descent amp(s) thats stable to 1/2 ohms, about 1,000 watts and youll SLAM. (+ you can say you have 4 TWELVES)

And how many companies do you know that will accept a .5Ohm mono load?? Especially in his budget????

I actually meant 1 or 2 ohms, not 1/2, my bad. you could run all 4 @ 2ohms mono, you could power em with a jbl 1200.1 total $525.00 (not bad for 4 subs and amp)
