I would love to get the SKF Brand Parts - BUT they cost 2 times the money.
Do you think these parts from Rock Auto would be good parts for my 2005 Ford Explorer 4x4?

Front Wheel Bearing Hub Assemblies... PRO Part # 29515050

Rear Wheel Bearings.... PRO Part # 29516008

Please help me by giving me your input. THANKS!!!! :exp:

I live in Ecuador - so making a return is out of the question. I only get one shot at this but would like to hold onto my money which is quickly disappearing.

the amazon reviews are not that bad, if it's a DIY it's probably worth the gamble. i like to purchase stuff in amazon because of free shipping and easy returns.

Looks like the ones I put on mine up front. I ordered them from rock auto and then took them to my buddies shop to have them put on. I haven't had any problem with them and I have driven a little over 1,000 miles since the install and I haven't had any worries.

Thank you for posting this. I was looking for similar info in another thread.

george4,
I purchased 2 of these front wheel bearing and hub assemblies from Callahan Brake Parts through Amazon. Have only been on about 500 miles so far and no issues with them. Excellent customer service from Callahan.
Disregard Amazon statement " This does not fit your: 2003 Ford Explorer". Look just above the "Special Offers and Product Promotions" LINE for "See all vehicles this product fits."

URL would not post as a clickable link. Sorry. I later also bought rotors from Callahan as I was having a 'shudder' when braking. Solved the problem. Regards, Larry

Thanks for the input guys! I am going to order these from Rock Auto in hopes that they will not sell junk. Hopefully I will get good mileage from them. I just can't see paying 3 times the money for the SKF.

Junk is relative to the life expectancy of the product. SKF often will last 5-7 times longer than value lines.
How long you plan to keep the vehicle is another consideration.
