ATF question

So I'm patching up a transmission line and topping up in the three liters I lost and come to find I had a bad jug. 1 litre of the stuff was rated for Mercon instead of MerconV. My B-series is an 04. What should I do?

From my knowledge mercon v didn't come out until 2004 so it's possible your vehicle came with mercon in it and later was changed to mercon v. Meaning at some point the two were mixed. I'm not saying this is right but one liter probably won't make a difference. But then why take a chance without solid information. The only way to make sure you get it all out is with a trans flush which could bring issues in itself
