Hey guys,

I really need help because I am really confused on what to do. I have a 2004 EB with the factory jbl system. I took the stock amp and sub out because I am putting 1 15 in the back. Well I need to get a wiring harness for my alpine headunit and I dont know which one to get. My car has the factory dvd player and I guess if I put the aftermarket headunit in the car I cant use it anymore. W.e. I dont care about that. Can I buy the regular 2003-up harness and just connect it and itll work just like if I never had the jbl system or is the harness totally different from my stock headunit. Here is the one I would buy.

The thing Is i dont know if that one works for the 04 explorer.

OR can I just buy this?

OR do I need to buy the one made for the jbl system and just trash the harness with the rcas. Or is the regular harness the exact same as the other ones I linked?

Or will this harness work?

WHY does that one look totally different from all of the other ones I posted that are specifically made for the 04 explorer?

I just bought a harness from BB or Circuit City, and it worked. But the only thing that i see that may happen, if you took out the factory amp for the interiors, you will need another amp to power them. If you leave the stock amp connected then it would work fine.

I would check out the links you posted, but my job doesnt allow me to view these links.

Renamed and moved to Audio/Navigation section.

get the one with the rca's and just trash that harness. thats what i did for my 04 eddie bauer. then you are sure to have the right stuff.
