Auto or Manually

Hi

My name is Ben. I have a 1993 XLT Ford Explorer 4.0L with Auto 4x4. I've gone through 2 transmission. The 2nd Transmission was for a 2 wheel drive and around 30,000 miles the flex plate cracked and damaged the shaft in the tranny. My question is, Is it possible to convert and explorer from Auto to manually? is it worth it? or should I stick with Auto? Wanted to see what my options are. Thanks for your guys help

I did it in a 94 with a 92 tranny. Hanging the clutch was the hard part. the rest was gravy.
