Hi how's it going . I have an 03 ford explorer limited with automatic headlights. It takes about 15 seconds for the sensor to switch them. Is there anything I can do to have them turn on faster ? Maybe a relay? Thanks

Welcome aboard!! :salute:

I don't know what you mean by "it takes 15 seconds for the sensor to switch them".

I know that in my '02 XLT, with the headlight switch in the auto position, the headlights come on automatically when it is dark.

If you post more details about your issue it will be easier to diagnose and make recommendations.

I meant to write switch them on.

I meant to write switch them on.

I am still a little confused.

Tell me if I have it: your Ex has auto headlights and when you turn the switch to the "headlight on" position, it takes 15 seconds for you headlights to come on??

Thanks for the welcoming. Ok so My explorer has auto headlights. They work fine but I just wanted to know if it was normal that they take about fifteen seconds to turn on, f
or example when I enter a Parkin garage it takes the sensor that long to realize they should turn on is that normal? If so would I be able to set them to switch on faster than that? Thanks

That's seems to be how mine work as well. I guess it has to have some darkness for a while so they don't keep turning on and off. As far as I know, there is no adjustment.
