Automatic Transmission Problem

My 94 Explorer 4X4 transmission is acting wierd.

When you put the car in reverse (most when the engine is cold)..and then you try to put it into drive...the car just sits there and then eventually it shifts into drive..

I've noticed that the trans fluid was low..which I filled up..but i cannot find a leak...and I've looked every where

any thoughts?

You could try a transmission flush

Most X tranny's are just plan bad. Delaying shifting a little is pretty common, especially when cold. Filling the tranny fluid will most likely help a lot, but if it gets worse or it doesn't get better after it warms up, it might be a bigger problem.

**WARNING** Don't take your X over Elephant Hill if it keeps on doing that. Its the quickest way to trash a tranny.

Anyway, you shouldn't worry too much about that.
