I know nothing about this kind of stuff,is why im askin. Im not sayin its easy to push in/out,i guess i was thinkin it would be MUCH harder to push.It seems its going to b under MUCH MUCH more pressure on the ride then i can do pushing and pulling it with my hands, but could b wrong.
When u say extremely stiff, like straning ball?
Thanks
just installed a new KYB from Rock Auto last night. It was extremely firm.
I had a whale of a time pushing it in, and it had no return on its own.
I had to compact it to get it in there, then pull it down to get the bottom
bolt in. It was very stiff! as a comparison the old 198,000 mi. stocker
I can shake up and down like a can of nuts. And the ride to work was
noticeably better.
Shocks are velocity sensitive. They react to rates of change in speed and direction(acceleration, or in math this is referred to as dv/dt, rate of change of velocity(direction dependent, not speed)/per unit time. Lets see how fast you can make it move pulling it back and forth rapidly.
