I have a quick question. I've installed a car seat in the back seat of my 2006 Explorer Limited. Unfortunately, the seat doesn't fit all that great. It seems there's not enough room between the front and back seats. To top it off, when I turn off the car, the driver seat automatically retreats to make it easier to get out, however, it pushes up against the infant car seat.

Has anyone else had this problem?

DOes anyone know a way to shut off the automatic driver seat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I beleive if you go through the setup menu there is something called like "auto unlock" or something...if you turn that off then the seat doesnt go back when you turn off the engine. You access it by goign through the menu..like to check MPG and your trips.

The setting in the driver info center is easy entry, turn that off and the seat will stay in place. Also I had to recline the rear seat some to get our baby seat to fit correctly, especially when we moved my little guy to a forward facing seat. Do yourself and your family a favor, go get the seat install checked at the police or fire department. It is not as easy as you think to install them correctly.

Assuming you are installing this in advance of the birth, congrats and all the best.
