As my user name indicates, my recent wheelin has been in Jeeps. I did grow up as a Ford man having owned over 20, including a 69 Bronco and an 84 Bronco II.
I found a 5.0 2000 XLT that has sat for 3 years and in dire need of repairs that I planned to use as a tow vehicle for my 86 CJ7 and as a DD. The PO sold it to me thinking it was a 2WD. Much to my amazement when I took off the front tires to replace the rotors and pads, low and behold there was a front axel. (hard to believe the previous owner owned it for 10 years and didn't know that it was AWD) The price was right and I never even looked, just loaded it on my car hauler and gave her the $500.00
So now I have a Ford to see if I can get it to handle wheeling better than my previous tow vehicle which was a 2000 Cherokee.
