I have a 95 XLT that has electronic passenger seat. We let a friend (former?) borrow the explorer for a week while her car was being repaired. Now the front passenger seat will not go back. All other directions work just fine, just not the back button. Any hints? Clues? or am I just stuck with this until I can get the local Ford dealer to look at it?

Thanks.

Robert.

I thought mine was doing the same thing. But what was happening was the part of the seat belt that slides along the track was getting caught. What I have to do is pull the seat belt receiver back towrads the rear. Its kind of hard to explain. Just watch the track between the seat and the center console when you try to slide it back. Watch for any binding. Good luck.

Check the track

This has happened to mine before. To reiderate section525's idea. Check the track. I had moved mine all the way foward to make room. The seat went so far foward that one side slipped out of the track. Check to make sure that the seat is on track.
