balancer question

well, my '04 4.0 has the bad harmonic balancer issue. Does anyone know if the balancer can be replaced without pulling the radiator and/or,tranny cooler and/or a/c condenser????? Thanks in advance......hevybluzer

When I pulled the balancer off my 97 i removed the radiator and had plenty of room to work. I left everything else in place.

It can be done but is difficult without high quality air tools to break the crank bolt loose. Sometimes you can use strap wrench and breaker bar to loosen and tighten bolt.
