Ball joints

Hi,
I’m new to this forum
I own a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport; the lower ball joints are worn, the upper at tight. My question is should I just replace the lowers or both uppers and lowers?

I ordered both upper control arms and both lower ball joints from Rock Auto. The cost was $118 including shipping. And these are MOOG parts.

I'm doing all 4 this weekend. That way it IS done.

Thanx for the info, I think I’ll order them from Rock auto; $200 less. Good idea replacing all four at the same time, well same me future grief and the expense of another front end alignment
