Banging in the right rear

I think one of my 95K mile rear shocks finally bit the dust because a little banging noise has appeared going over the bumps. My wife is in a panic thinking it's something worse. What else besides a bad shock or spring make a banging noise?

a lose swaybar endlink can also make a loud banging like that..... o have actually heard of people spare tire cable assemblies self loosening and cuasing the tire to make noise over bumps too....

Believe it or not I discovered that the banging in the rear driver's side was due to my bottle jack bouncing around in it's little spot. You might want to check that first and pump it a few times to make sure it's secure.
