Hello All,

I just picked up a 95 LTD, this is my second explorer, I actually still have my 94 XLT (now 4 sale). I love em!!!!

I had some expereince with explorer sound system upgrades as I changed the HU, added an amp and subs after doing the factory amp bypass thing. Worked out quite well. Now that I bought this LTD I have to do it all again but there are some differneces this time.

Here is my situation. I want to add my subs and amp to my 95 LTD but I want to keep / use the factory HU it is a casset and hasm a 6 cd changer so all my needs woudl be met other then MP3's. I plan to add a portable DVD player with screens later and that will have the capability to play mp3 if I really need them. I will get the sound from my DVD player into the system using an FM modulator.

Anyway, I digress, just excited about my new toy. I have tried to get as much info from the forums but still have a few questions.

Is there any way to avoid the bass roll off feature in the system? Is it at the deck that the bass gets reduced? Is the sound into the sub in the back rolled off? Is there a sound lead off of the deck that does nto get rolled off? I need away aound this as I want my subs to be able to pump low frequences not cut the bass the more I turn up the deck. has anyone done this successfully?

I also want to find out if there is actually a remote amp power switch off of the factory deck. I really do not want to plug it in to the fuse box. I assume there has got to be one as there is an at least 1 or 2 factory amps in the back of the truck.

Any help or comments are appreciated!!!
