Battery and Oil Gauge

I have a 1999 ford explorer. My battery gauge is readin low and my oil gauge is reading high. I just fixed the battery terminal connections thinking that was the problem..and it's still reading the same. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

these "gauges" are more like idiot lights with needles. they normally read in about the middle of their sweep. i wouldn't worry about your oil pressure reading a little high and if your concerned about your battery/charging system reading low, get your alternator and battery checked.

if these (and the coolant temp) were real gauges, too many perople would freak out by how much the needles move around depending on conditions/RPM.
