BBK T/B--adjusting idle

Guys, eversince installing the T/B, occassionaly the engine will stall when the A/C kicks on, shift the trany to drive or shifting from reverse to drive. I'm sure its related to the T/B. Is there an adjustment for the T/B or idle solenoid?

Disconnect the IAC connection. Start your motor. If it doesn't start turn the set screw on the TB to be sure you have it cracked a little. If it does start adjust the set screw til you get your idle around 500 rpm. Shut it down. Disconnect your battery to reset your ECU. Plug the IAC connection back in. Start it up. The ECU should take over from there and reset your idle. Let it run for a while to be sure it's good to go. That should take care of etting your TB.

When removing the throttle position sensor from the old TB did you check its position electrically or just install it and go? There is a voltage you should read for idle to be set correctly and you should be able to find it in the section on TPS in a shop manual. Sounds like it may be set incorrectly to me. Also try disconnecting you negative cable from the battery fo 30 seconds or so to reset the computer memory and let it relearn idle position.

TPS shouldn't have much to do with it. If you want to check. That voltage is about .96. This can be tested with the key in the on position. Place the ground in your grounding strap, and probe for the one with this voltage. One will read like 5v, one nothing, the other is the one you want. I'm not to sure whether or notthey adjustable for that year. I would try setting the TB plate first.

Ok, is the plate adjustment the threaded screw under the unit or is it the one tied to the accellerator pedal?
