I have been asking a ton of questions concerning my '91 Ex. untill now I think this is the most important. After I do this job I am going all out and I will still have a ton of questions so here I go.

I have been looking at lift kit on line (www.suspensionconnection.com) it's a Tuff Country EZ_ Ride performance 4'' susp. lift w/ extended radius arms. It would be dumb of me to pass this kit up do to lack of info.

Now my question is, Has anyone had any expirience with this brand or this perticular kit? If so, How does it perform? Am I going to have problems with it ? Am I taking a chance if I buy it? The lift is going on a '91 exp.. If you guys have opinions please hit me up...

that lift is still available? i havent seen that company around for a long time..... from what i remeber, there product is on par with all the otehr guys....

To be honest with you, the Tuff Country stuff isn't built very well. I have seen their extended radius arms and you could step on them and they would bow.

For the same price you can get the Skyjacker and have twice the kit. Check out www.4wheelparts.com . They have pretty good prices, can usually get free shipping, and the customer service is really good.

When compairing lift kits, take into consideration some of these factors:
1. Shocks included? If so, what quality?
2. Extended brakes lines?
3. Rear springs or just AAL?
4. Shipping cost
5. Most all will require a drop pitman arm but not included

What size tire do you want to run? What kind of off-road driving will you be doing? What do you have in mind as far as 'all out'? These answers will determine what you should be looking for and what mods should be accomplished to reach your goals.

Feel free to ask a ton of questions. There is a wealth of knowledge here and everyone's willing to help out. Check out some of the past threads as well.

me too

I was also looking at that lift mainly because of cost. I looked at the skyjacker lift on the recomended page but it didn't say if it included rear springs or blocks.

Just buy the front kit and do a SOA in the rear.

But wouldn't doing a SOA in the rear give him 5+ inches of lift??? I'm pretty sure thats right......something near 5 inches. Isn't jbcisneros03 looking at a 4 inch lift??? If i remember right the Tuff Country kit and Superlift kit comes with rear springs for the 4 inch kit. Not sure about Skyjacker. Never liked the company. :p

It's true the SOA will gain about 5" of lift but will settle over time, especially with '91 springs. I ended up installing an AAL to the rear just to level it out with the front 5.5" and it was still too low. Sitting an inch high in the rear I think is a good thing. That'll give him room for adding junk in the cargo area or towing a trailer and the truck will still be level.

One other good thing about a SOA is there is less things hanging down to get caught on. I drag my shock mounts all the time.

Fenders

Hey DerrikC Are those fiberglass flared fenders on your EX? If so where did you get them?

Fiberglass front fenders

Hannamann's is much better quality and customer service is top notch!

Whoa there Kent.......Thats almost a cuse word around here. :D Its true but I like Perrys because they have no lines. My first set was from hannemann. Liked them alot but started gettin alot of chipping around some edges.

Why, because I don't kiss butt to a sponser of this site? Well, this isn't the first time I've gotten a spankin from a Mod for talking bad about a sponser. Hey, I tell it like it is. :nono:

I'm glad you got a good product from Perry's. Bummer about your first fenders. Baja Concepts has a new style for the Exploder out, they are cool. I can't wait to see your fenders one of these days.

That was no spankin mister!!! You haven't began to feel my rage!!! ;) :D

The only thing bad about Perrys is I still had to trim them so I could run the mud bogs at the county fair. There good for skinny tires but you get into those 14.50 wide tires and theres alot of contact.

price

Ok I looked at Perry's site but no price's. How much did they set you back?

Oh man....What did they cost me???? Just roughly at a price........I would say $250-$300. E-mail them and tell them your from this site and ask for a qoute.
