I'm interested in Flushing my AC system.
Besides using a flush gun, is there a cheaper way to flush?
I was reading about someone using a plastic gear oil bottle, flush liquid, then follow with compressed air.
Would this be ok to do? If not, any other idea's would be helpful.
I currently have a new Ford Factory Compressor and a new Ford upper line.
Tomorrow i'm going to pick up a new accumalator.
I'd like to flush before I install the new parts.
All information is helpful.

unless it is an issue of timing, a flush gun is pretty cheap.... under $50. Are you converting to r-134? Use an ester based flush an on conversion use ester oil as the lubricant oil. You CAN do it they way you described....probably just not as efficient.

I already have R134. Which oil should I use to flush?
Thanks.

Use "flush"... not oil. Most commercially available flush is ester based. It's about $12 a quart. A quart can be reused and should do a system unless it's really badly contaminated.

Check out mvpro.com and acsource.com. Both good suppliers. I have experience with both.
