best (cheapest) brake disks / brake pads

I just had my X in for a check-up and had to find out that all the brake discs and brake pads are pretty worn out and should be replaced within the next 2 to 3 months. Now, everybody knows that everything is more expensive over here in Germany and car parts are certainly now exception. So this is the reason I am def. going to buy the brake discs and brake pads in the US and have them shipped to me here in Germany. And this leads me to my question since you all had to deal with this matter at some point.

I would like to find out, what brand brake dics and brake pads you all use, how they perform, how happy you are with them, and how much they cost (and where to get them).

You could order them from autozone.com and they may ship them to you. I don't know the cost of shipping but rotors are about 40 bucks each and pads are about 35 bucks per axel for desent ones.
