best mods for Street look '94 X

i want to make this into a street looking car, i was considering bags, but i wasn't sure if it being 4x4 would mess with bags at all.


mods im considering:

clear corners/bottoms (headlights)
paint (kind of expensive so thats far off)
bags
Rims/tires (any recommendations? im thinking 20's but not sure what kind)
new exaust (maybe just muffler and tips not sure)
If no bags then probably lower it
i have two dents on the back hatch i need to fix, then a dent in the corner panel on the passanger side i want to fix also.
Tint 5% on the back 5, and a 5% windshield banner
grill of some sort
some tvs/good audio system



i think im gonna start with the system and go from there

btw, i just bought this it has 80k miles and i got it for 4500, runs great and is in pretty good shape besides the 3 dents mentioned before.

also i was wondering if anyone had any information on an aftermarket sun/moon roof, i was wondering how much they cost and how much labor would be approx. or maybe how hard it is to do yourself, im kind of new to the car world so i dont know if i want to try that.

ok if your just going for looks.. id do rims, lower, exhaust, and shave. in that order.

that 4x4 is going to ride rough if you lower it. Just what I have heard from other members that have done it. Als might look a little funny on 20's with the auto hub sticking out. Come to think of it, will 20's even fit over the auto hub? Just some things you may want to do a little research on.

An aftermarket/factory OEM job will run you about $1200 out the door. We pledged to get one on our Tahoe, factory did it for $1200 flat, so I'd say around there. Good luck with your mods!

I think it's funny how many times we always want what we don't have. If you have taillights that have amber turnlights, you want tailights that don't have amber. If you have taillights that are red, you want taillights with amber. If you have a 4wd, you really want a 2WD to lower. Or if you're me, I have a 2WD and I really want a 4WD.

This is a picture of a guy on this site that goes by the name on this site of bobby locs. Here is a picture of his '93 he used to have(according to his car domain site) He has in this picture auto hubs and it's doesn't look bad at all...at least to me. Here is his site for more pictures.

eh, in person i think that might look pretty bad ;/, now im not sure what to do, i thought about it and i dont know if i want to make my primary vehicle an off roading vehicle. so i think ill concentrate on my system for now and decide what else to do later.

Thanks for the refence to my old ride Joey, Yes it is gone...
The hubs fit though my wheels with no modifying. As far as the ride quality with 20"s, it is just slightly rougher then stock but it is not bad at all... Also my old explorer was never lowered or have any modification to the suspention, incase you were curious...
