Welcome To The Site!

The best way to answer your questions would be for you to please push the Search button. Try a search for TT/Shackles and second generation body lift and biggest tires second generation. Those searches should give you more than enough threads about the subect.

There are body lifts available for your Explorer, but they are not made specifically for your year/model.

You can run 31-32" tires stock. I run a tire that is the equivalent of a 32" and I get some rubbing on the plastic in the fenderwells. I did not get this rubbing until after I installed new Warrior Quick Disconnects which allow for more flew in the suspension. Disconnected, I will definately get rubbing. Also, I just installed new torsion bars (stiffer) which will limit the amount my suspension will fully compress in the front end, so they may not rub now or as much as previously.

Here's a link to Gerald's page, it's got a lot of great information that can help you out: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=15264

To echo Robb, try a search, you can pull up a lot of info that way. You can find the link at the top tool bar or you can click on it in my signature.

Good luck and welcome to the site!

if you really want big tires you can do it the cheap way (what im doing) 3'' bodylift, 2'' TT/shackles, perrys fiberglass fenders up front, 35x12.5 procomp mt's.

You may be able to fit a 30x9.50 without rubbing at full compression. If you look inside the top of your fenderwells you will find some stuff hanging down from them that the tire will make contact with at full compression. It's no big deal though.

I am running 31x10.50x15 and they dont rub at all. i have done the 2in t/t and it has worked great and been nice and cheap. my truck is a 95' too, i have been looking into getting a 3" body lift and some 33's. seems like that is the cheapest way to go if you want a bigger tire than a 31.
