I've been trying to find a way to get another 2-4" of lift on my 5.5" superlift. I'm looking into longer coils for the front, like maybe 7 or 9" from Superlift, but I want to know whether something else will need to be replaced after that(ie driveshaft, something else that depends on length related to suspension). Also, are there any other ways to accomplish this? Besides a body lift? Thanks

I think that if you push it to 6" you'll probably want a new rear driveline, since it may start to vibrate otherwise. You might want to be carefule pushing more than 2" more though, because I don't know if the front end geometry will work with the 5.5" brackets then.

You would have to change the drop down brackets as well. And you may have to do something in the steering. I am not sure about the steering, but the drop down brackets is probably a must. Unless...Maybe you could go with Camburg's bent Traction beams along with some 4" drop brackets and some 8" coils to get 8" of lift and have no problems with caster/camber.

As far as the coils I don't see why you couldn't run a taller spring but there may be issues with wheel alignment. I have my springs out right now and with my relocated brake hoses I figure that a spring with a free length of 24-25" would work in there without binding up the steering(using SuperRunner steering). That is huge but the only problem would be the potential to bottom out the coils. I don't know if it would be possible but my tape measure says that it should be.

I am going to move this thread to the Suspension forum.
