Blend door problems.

Hi all,and thanks for loving Ford trucks!

Looking for some input on how to fix temperature blend door on 2003 Explorer XLT. Don't want to have to pay dealer for it. Gonna' be cold in Philly this winter, would like to have it fixed before then. I read a lot of articles regarding this procedure and none of them impressed me.

Saw a lot of angry Ford owners ready to buy Toyota or Nissan because of this issue. Just because you have a crazy brother in the family doesn't warrant leaving home!!!

Lol, it all depends on how you wanna go about fixing it. Some make it so they just have to manually open it each season (twice a year) and others go about replacing it which I hear is VERY costly
