Blinking 4WD lights!

I have problems with blinking 4WD and 4WDLOW lights in my -95 XLT Export version. Lights blinks five or four times ocassionally. I know that 6 times means problem with the hall sensors of drive shaft, but I haven't heard anything about 4 or 5 time blinkings. Can anyone help?

If you do a search you'll get quite a few threads.

The easiest way to get rid of it, is to disconnet your battery for a few minutes to clear it out. If you really have a problem it will start doing it again.

I had the same problem with my 98 SOHC. I tried the battery thing but it only worked for a couple of days. Ended up taking the speed sensor out at the transfer case and cleaned it. That was about 3 months ago. No more blinking lights.
