My wife came home today and said when she shut off the car and pulled the keys the blower would keep running. If the rear blower was on, the front wouldn't be. If the front was on, the rear wouldn't. Any ideas?

By the way, it's a '96 AWD Explorer.

Checked the relays in the Aux box underneath the air filter and one of the relays was pretty hot even after sitting there for 6 hours. Popped it out, thumped it once, and reinstalled. Everything seems to work fine now, but I need to go get a new relay I'm sure to replace the old one.

I was just going to suggest that, but you beat me to it..... sticking high speed relay can cause that. Replace the relay and it should solve the problem. It'll likely happen again before long.
