Brake and turn signals out on '02 Explorer

Hi guys,

New here and working on my girls '02 4dr XLT. Her brake lights (only the 2 lower... the 3rd upper light works) are out... The stock owners manual is unclear on which fuses and relays go to those lights.

Can you steer me in the right direction, or if anyone knows of any other cause that might effect this such as bad switch ect.

check the MFS (MultiFuntion Swt) connector. the brake lights go through there but the 3rd brake light bypasses it.
