hopin someone has ran across my problem. My brake lights are out, already tried, new bulbs, fuses, and brake pedal switch. can anyone point me in a direction?

Get an amp meter or test light to test whether there is any current AND check for ground. I would recommend you start first with seeing if there is any voltage at any of the brake lights in case the rear ground strap is loose-broken-corroded. Once that is out of the way, look for voltage at the pedal switch plugs then work your way back.

A trailer light harness can be a source of mischief. If you got one, disconnect to see if changed the situation. Some people splice them in instead of using the socket (next to the bumper behind the rear left side tail light assembly or in the tire tool storage area) so disconnecting may not be an option.

Any way about it the answer is unfortunatly going to be testing a bunch of wires and sockets.
