'97 mounty 5.0 4x4 baby!!
Hi guys. I bought my first part to modify my mounty. Im happy as ill ever be. Now for the problem i think i might have. I bought the BL PA #853, cuz i have a 97 mounty. Now the issue i would like to know more about is the brake lines. On the furom someone posted that the brake lines were too short or somethin, as well as the AC line. Do i buy longer brake lines or am i fine? As for my bumper, im having one custom built after the BL so i dont really mind that. Any help would be appreciated guys. thanks. :)

I had no problems with the brake lines or the AC lines after my BL install. I did however drop the parking brake cable down a little.

It's the e-brake cable that's an issue after the lift. Not a brake line. Mine wasn't a problem and still worked after the lift. You may just need to tweak a bracket if anything.

The AC line is only an obstacle on the V6s I believe. You're going to have an issue with your raditor because there's an extra tab on the top driver's side that will be in the way. You have to just cut it off with a hack saw. It's no biggie really.

So ultimatly my brake lines are fine as well as AC hoses, E break seems easy to do. Thanks guys, i broke out into a cold sweat when i remembered after buyin it. Despite this should i disconnect them just in case? Section525, did you have anby trouble installing your BL? What i mean is was there any fitment issues with the spacers or bolts?

I bought two more 160mm bolts (I believe). Other than that, and grinding out the slot in the steering extension, it was all sweet.

I installed pa#883 on my 1997 5.0 and no issues. There are a couple of write ups in here. All I had to do was cut the tab on the rad support and modify rear bumper brackets.

From what i understood the 853 steering extension thing should be a direct fit. Section 525 what part # was your kit? Also i bought warrior shackles today, its the 1.25 inches of lift. is that the right one?

Bumper issues aside, can this be a ne man job with hand tools?
thanks guys, sorry if im bien a pest.

I used #853. The #883 worked on your 97 timmac06?

I did mine by myself. It's really pretty easy. You'll just need a floor jack, and various 4x4 and 2x4s to place between the jack and body. It should be a day long project.

ahh crap. then my prob is grinding out the steering extension. who do i know has a grinder? hmm......section525, whats your name? io feel like im callin you a robot or somethin.
