hey, im looking to replace my rear brakes and am wondering if this would be an easy enough job for a novice mechanic. I do most of the work on the ex but have never done brakes. I was also wondering what problems would arise if i put new pads on scratched up rotors. Thanks a lot guys

its pretty easy, i think you can do it. were the old brakes working into the rotors or drums if so yes get them turned. its probably best to get them turned anyway i think its only like 10 bucks each but its been awhile.

Here's a couple of threads on it:

replacing pads

stuff you need

Best to have the rotors turned or replaced if necessary. Rear rotors are about $30 -$50 (each) aftermarket.I bought mine for something like $32 each at Napa.
