My explorer started to over heat. I found out that my thermostat broke down. And here is my question. Is it normal for thermostat to broke in that way?

Here is a picture of thermostat:

X startet to over heat when I kick down it couple of times.

Wow, Slovenia. That's pretty neat.

Usually thermostats just start sticking open or closed. That one might be sticking shut to some extent, too. I haven't seen one that looked like that exactly...no I haven't seen one "ripped out" like that.

I suggest you get a Stant 192 degree thermostat, if they have them over in Slovenia.

THX Rhett.
In Slovenia I can get only original from Ford dealer. I'm getting it tomorrow. :)

But still. Has anyone any other idea what would casue thermostat to rippe out?

It might have been ripped like that from the factory...who knows.

At any rate, if you're overheating, the thermostat is a good thing to replace.
