While I haven't started yet I have concluded I needed to us this setup. It will provide a skid plate and mounting points for my long arm kit for the solid axle swap I am doing. I bought some 3/16th walled 3x4 tube for the sub-frame. I am going to use 1/4 in plate for my skid plate. While for my arms I am using 1.5in outer 1in inner walled dia tube. I will be using fox coil-overs for this venture. While trick rod ends would be kewl, I am going with plain 3/4in rod ends and mis aignment bushings.

Let me know if you have ever don't this type of thing...

Wont it decrease your clearance? Sounds like your building a pretty cool rig. Personally i would have used steel box and notched it to accep the rod ends. I'm building my extended ra's and am just going to use a stock style end on them...once they are extended, rod ends aren't going to increase flex much. Another con is that rod ends don't absorb any shock, so it's gonna be a rougher ride, they also require more maitence. eh...just some thoughts
