More or less wondering if anyone on here has ever done a full performance or mild perform build on a 4.0L SOHC, i have an engine where i re-ringed it and put all new bearings in the bottem end with polish crank.
But being myself and like having sleeper's i extreamly tempted to get a programer and a set of cam's for the old girl, mabey port and polish the head's some you know have a little fun, shortly this truck will be nothing but a wood's toy, so having that little extra power would be fun for sure!

Plus anyone know where to get a set of cam's xD? i talked too 2 cam manufactor's and they have never produced a set of performance cam's for this engine. anyways boy's let me know whatca think! if i go through with it i will post some pictures and ofc the first start video:)

"More or less wondering" if you bothered to SEARCH at all, or do any actual research, before asking a question that has been addressed many, many times?

There are MULTIPLE, high profile (read: easy to find, if you do just a little looking) SOHC builds on this site. Some N/A, some supercharged.

There are/were 2 sources for performance re-grind cams: Tom Morana Racing and Super Six Motorsports. Google is your friend. They are not cheap.

Building a performance SOHC is not cheap, not at all. It would not be a wise investment to put all the needed time/money into doing so, only to waste it on a truck you intend to destroy. Additionally, the SOHC, especially once built with the available performance components/mods, is not well suited to low speed woods bashing.
