I did some looking under my truck today and found that I can't lower it 3" because of the current bump stops that are there to prevent the suspension from bottoming out. However, they are easy to remove as they have a bolt that goes right through the middle of them. I would really like to find lower profile bump stops though, if they exist...Anybody know of anything like that?

They are made for lowered Explorers....

quote

Suspension Bumpers
Our suspension Bumpers are recommended for maximum ride quality on lowered Explorers. The fronts allow a little more suspension travel, yet still does a good job of cushioning the suspension when all the travel is gone. The rear bumpers are a voided design, specially modified to work on your Explorer, that provide progressive damping depending on amount of axle movement. They combine to provide the ultimate ride comfort on lowered Explorers

You COULD succumb to Explorer Express's outrageous prices or you could just cut down the stock bump stops a bit. Lots of people have done it.

EE is great and all, BUT they charge WAY too much. Just cut them or remove them. I removed my front bumps and have not had a singe problem yet. Never bottomed out on the a-arm, and never had any of the "slipping" that a few others have mentioned.
