BW 1354e Shift repair

I have a 1994 Ranger with a BW 1354e Transfercase. It does not have a shift motor on it and the wireing is questionable. I have found reference to conversions to manual shift (Such as "Shiftster" and a cable/lever type) but they are old posts and I can't contact anyone. Does anyone have new information for a conversion kit or a GOOD DIY fix?

The only 'conversion kit' that was really available was the shiftster. Everything else was various levels of homebrewed. Did you google for a shiftster website?

Your other options are to get another shift motor from a junkyard and bolt it on, or crawl underneath and use vice grips or a socket to shift the tcase by hand. Don't laugh, I did that for a couple years!
Or better yet, find a manual shift tcase and swap it in, it's a pretty straightforward job.
