How do i bypass the day time running lights in a 08 ford explorer? I put in hid lights then bought resistors to stop the flickering when the day time lights came on then realized the little bulbs on the hid's ( I guess are the DTRL) don't work so now I have to turn my head lights on every single time to drive. Anyway any ideas on how to bypass them so during day they are off and at night I turn them on manually?

Thanks everyone

There is a DRL module, maybe you can just take it out, however this truck is very sensitive to anything you do to lights, don´t be surprised if you get a message at the dash.

EDIT: I was just checking the 2010 Explorer workshop manual and the DRL are integrated in the smart junction box, it can´t be disabled, sorry. Unless the 2008 is different you are doomed.

those little bulbs on your HID's should be the brights , they make 2 kinds of HID's ones with halogen brights and ones with a magnetic trigger that tilts the fixture upward simulating a higher filament placement
