Vehicle is an '06 Explorer LTD 4.6l with roughly 140,000.
About a month after I bought it for the wife it threw a CEL, ABS and Traction Control Lights. CEL was for P0420 which I fixed with a new catalytic converter and o2 sensors. ABS is for C1095 which I know from reading here that that is for the ABS pump circuit failure. Traction control light I assume is related to the 1095.
Here are my questions:
1) Where is the ABS module located? I have always owned GM or Chrysler vehicles and am unfamiliar with the layout of this one.
2) When I monitored wheel speed with Forscan, all of the values seemed to be updating correctly. Would that eliminate the wheel sensors and abs rings that they read?
3) I have read here that some folks have found it to be a bearing problem, but they never stated how they diagnosed which wheel was the issue. Can anyone offer any way to diagnose which wheel is the problem?
4) What fuses or Relays power the ABS Module and Pump? My owners manual does not list it that I can see.
I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before, but I could not find them while searching here.
