I finally got time to properly wire in a center console into my 2019 PIU. Wanted some advice on if I can directly power a wireless carPlay screen that pulls about 10 amps with the 10 wire from the 14 pin upfitter connector under the center dash. Would like the screen to turn off with the car. I've hooked a voltmenter up to the pin and it works exactly as I'd like (times out after the ignition is off or you open the driver's door). Just curious if I can use this wire directly or if I have to use it as a sensor wire and add a relay into the wiring.

I bought a "WPT-955" connector on Ebay and removed all the other pins from the connector for a nice clean add to the car. Here's the connector:

I realize I left out some details in the original post and want to avoid getting flamed... I didn't mention anything about the ground wire. I'm splicing into the wiring for one of the always on 20A cigarette lighter ports on the center console for ground. I'll post a write up and a bunch of pics once I get this finished out....

Can you? Sure absolutely. However what I would suggest is run constant power from the thick 6-way plug to a mini fuse block and install it under the dash. Then use a relay triggered by the delay ignition wire from the 14-way plug to activate the fuse block. This way you have better control over your fuses, as well as more expandability for phone chargers, dash cam, the rear passenger USB ports (if swapping out the rear HVAC controls), or anything else you need to power in your console. You can mount your fuse box under the center console, or under the console arm rest cubby.

By the way, my 2017 also has inconsistent tendencies when turning the key off/opening the door for the circuit in the 14-way.
