Can I have the Moonroof & Sun shade open just a little?

I'd like to have the glass & shade open maybe an inch or 2 to vent the hot air without the sun coming in.

Seems like every combination I've tried on the 3 overhead switches open the shade all the way before the glass begins to open.

Is there some magic sequence on the 2013 limited I'm missing?

Although I no longer have my 2011 Explorer to try it, I'm sure that I've had the front panel partway open as well as the shade. Have you tried reversing the glass movement when it is going one way or the other to see if it will stop? Don't keep the button pressed but just a light touch. The same with the shade.
