:) Which one?
I just bought a 98 Ex and going to let my 95 go in a month or so. The 98 does not have keyless entry and the 95 does. I'm not looking to install the door keypad, just would like to be able to use the remote.

Can I just swap the module> Is the wiring harness there, and are there other modules somewhere, or a different ECU or something?

P.S. I did read all 20-something pages of the big keyless post but nothing on moving from car to car.

Did you look in the rear storage hatch where the jack goes to see if you have the module there.

Yes. No module and no dangling connector for one.

I dont think the 95 and 98 use the same wiring harness. if it did you would have to swap the whole body harness. so not plug and play.

Ok, thanks for the response. The wife is going to have to use the key then..... :)

Or you can make her really happy and get aftermarket one installed that has remote start.

What model is the 98? Xls, I have never seen one that didn't have it, so im guessing its a base model?

Probably is a base.

My 97 XL doesn't have factory keyless.

I looked into the whole idea of swapping keyless from an ex with one into mine, turns out, it's more work than it's worth.

Just get an aftermarket alarm system. Easier to wire and better..
