can i remove the cross member under the bellhousing?

Pulling my tranny and was wondering if i could remove the cross member thats right behind the oil pan and under the bellhousing cuz it would make it alot easier to drop? Or is it a PITA to get back in

I think that's the one that the bolts sometimes break off in, but other than that I don't think it's much trouble. SOak them up good in PB blaster, and maybe give them some heat if it's even possible.
