Whaddya think ? ? ? ?

Head out to Tahuya either Friday night (February 4th) or early Saturday morning (the 5th), wheel, drink some beer, camp, avoid "Ph-Oprah"), then head out Sunday noonish for my place and watch the last (good) portion of the pre-game show and the game. . . and root the Seahawks on. . . oh, never mind...

Nothing spectacular - - a couple of crock pots of chili, sandwich platter, chips, drinks, etc. . . Got about 120" of T.V. screens between the family room, main floor, and garage. . .

We can always hook up the projector and shoot it on the inside of the big cave door

Whoohoo, I'm not on call until Feb 11th.

I'm likin this plan. ;)

....can I get a SAS done in time?

LOL

Ryan

...ouch...

I was going to get a Waggy D44...but now I am thinking I should do a EB D44...

Where would be the camping? The 2 DNR campgrounds closed a year ago so that leaves Elfendahl Pass staging area which is for self contained (no tents) camping only. There is Belfair State Park not to far away for $21 a night. Just curious?

This sounds like a plan to me.

Wasn't there a campground we stayed at a year or so ago? Down the road and across the street from the Elfendahl Pass staging area?

That would be Camp Spillman. We'll want to confirm it's open.

It's not. Both DNR's camps are closed and marked for removal. Was out there 3 times this year and gates always closed. No funds

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

Okay, was thinking about this event since the Seahawks won on Saturday, so now that we are just four weeks out, let's revisit the options. . .

Got a few things to consider:

1. The PNW Backroads Drivers are doing an Eastern Washington run to the Slab on the 5th, and details on that are located here: http://www.pnwadventures.com/forum/...hington-off-road-slab-m-g-feb-5th-2011-a.html
Not saying you couldn't go out there on Saturday and swing by my place Sunday, but that's a lot of extra driving for Terri's chilli . . .

2. Tahuya camping remains a question. Is Elfendahl open? Even if it is, would those with campers being willing to "bunk" up with those of us without?

3. Is wheeling at Tahuya on Saturday a requirement? I mention this only because there's a lot of prep work at the house before an event, and although Terri's cool enough for you guys to all come over, she's not going do all the set-up solo . . .

So whaddya think? Offer is still open, just need to see what the assembled mass wants to do. . .

If one of us gets there early enough, we might be able to tie up the same spot at the Effendahl parking lot as last time.

I can probably accommodate someone, doubt Travis would come but Lucy(ifer) will defiantly be there.

I am getting a camping bug but not if it's gonna be in the 20's overnight.

I am open to either option. Camping sounds good and I have a spare bed if you can handle my obnoxious snoring.

Just a little FYI alot of the DNR recreational areas are on the chopping to be closed due to the state being broke this is for motorized and nonmotorized areas

Headcount. . . . ?

We doing this ? ?

Based on the expected weather and potential limited camping opportunities at Tahuya, I'm shifting this from "Wheeling / Camping / Super Bowl Party" to simply; "Super Bowl Party". . . Not saying the assembled mass can't go wheeling on Saturday or Sunday, but since I'll be doing some party prep anyway, I'm extricating myself from the wheeling portions and will focus on the logistics of the event.

That having been said, there's no reason this can't mirror the BBQ back in May - - guys with some minor projects can come over early and work on their rigs (you know, put the finishing touches on Ryan's SAS...), and we can shoot the bull, have a couple a beers, enjoy a cheap cigar, then watch the game. . .

Either way, would like to start capturing names of who plans on coming down to Grit City on the 6th. . .

So, who's in?

1. Phil
2. Kevin
3. Ryan ?
4. Rick ?
5. Joe ?
6. Jim ?
7. Dwight ?

Pullin' the Plug. . .

Hey, no hard feelings, but obviously not enough interest in this event to continue the thread. . .
