Been a lurker for years, but now I need help.
I think I am the only person in the world that is replacing the Front Rotors/Pads on my 1996 Ford Explorer XLT 2WD 4.0 V6.
I am having trouble removing the Front Rotors.
I am not sure if I am supposed to remove the axle nut or not. - From what I've seen on most, it is not necessary... however, they have all been on 4WD and 5.0 V8's.
I've whacked it with a hammer for 20 mins and it won't budge. Also, the bearings look like they have plenty of grease... would skipping the repack be okay?
Advice is very much appreciated.
