Hi,
I recently acquired a 94' ford explorer... The only problem Ive had with the vehicle so far is that.. .Upon starting her up, the voltage guage goes nuts (from say 9-13 volts, it changes upon acceleration/deceleration)
Along with it, my lights will dim in sync with me accelerating on and off... if left to idle without my foot on the gas the car will eventually die... I have tried cleaning the maf so far... Any hints and/or ideas are extremely appreciated - Thank you

Go have the altenator checked:D

I second that, low voltage can cause those symtoms.

Run a new ground wire

from the engine to the frame. Sometimes the ground straps can go bad and cause similar problems.
