Hello everyone,

I've been running 1.5" spacers on the rear of my '02 for a few years now with only the slightest axle shaft rub at full flex. However, after removing the full size spare on a stock steelie that I've been running for a bit, I noticed two points of interference between the spare and the upper control arm and coil spring mount.

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this. but it would probably be a good thing to check if you foresee yourself needing to use your spare off road. It seems to be the rim rubbing the control arm, but possibly the tire rubbing the coil. Both of which are due to the deep positive offset of the stock steelie, and rear articulation.

You've been running stock wheels with spacers?

My normal rims are American Racing Bajas which have a neutral offset so I didn't need to use spacers. A month or so ago I jumped it and landed my right front on a cement pipe which bent the rim and collapsed the lower control arm. I fixed all that but moved my spare to the rear for the time being since my replacement AR wheel was on back-order. When i went to put the new one on I noticed the rub marks.
