Hey all. I have a 2015 XLT, wondering if anyone else keeps a CB in the car and where/how you have your radio mounted?

Mounted between the drivers side door, to the left of the steering column. Basically mounted below the rear hatch/tow buttons. 2 self tapping screws into the dash plastic.

Mounting a CB is generally going to be a bit more challenging than a contemporary amateur (ham) radio. Remote mounting options are plentiful, in the VHF/UHF radio market. With CBs... Not so much.

Luckily there are many CB radios that are very small. You will have to be creative in selecting a place to mount them, and remember that they don't HAVE to be mounted horizontal. Perhaps you could mount one inside the center console (you would probably need an external speaker and mic extension cord.)

You might also look at the Cobra 75WXST. It is the only remote mount CB I can think of.

None of my 3 VHF/UHF radios have a detachable face plate so I've pretty well given up trying to install them. The moonroofs don't help much either. The last mobile radio I installed was in a 2009 Highlander and I ended up using large tie wraps and the transceivers mounting bracket to fasten it vertically to the front of the driver's seat with a small block of wood attached to the rear heat dissipating fins to keep it off the floor.
That might work for a large CB radio without the detachable head.

Because of size contraints in the vehicle, I purchased a Uniden Pro-520XL. Its very small and with the proper tuning, it sounds GREAT on the air. I have mine simply wedged between the driver seat and the center console. I have the mic mounted to the center stack via velcro. Works well.
