i have a sony cd player, the cdxm-730 i think, i know its the 730 and i think those are the right letters that go infront, but anyway, driving around yesterday i hit a fairly large pothole and the radio cut out on me, and it seems that the cd player has lost power, but when i get home to check it the face will still open, its one of teh active black panel cd players that have teh motorized faceplate, and that will still open and it will stil take in and eject cd's, but the displays and buttons except for open\close and eject wont work....i check all teh fuse and theyre fine, in-line fuses and all, and its not that, the wiring all still seems alright too, so i was wondering if anyone might know what is wrong or do i just have to send it back and get a new one since its still under warranty? thanks for the help guys

Go back to the place you bought it, tell them it crapped out and that you want to swap it for an Alpine, Kenwood, or Pioneer... I work at Crutchfield and I've seen so many Sony decks come back that i've lost count. Kenwood and Alpine are rock solid, and Pioneer has good reliability and are very user friendly. Just my 0.02
