Change ignition cylinder on 1991 Exp Eddie Bauer

I am a newbie to this forum and of course I have a problem. I am trying to replace the ignition cylinder on a 91 Eddie Baer. From what I have found online (I haven't been successful) is that there should be a release button under the cylinder but I don't see it. I see a plastic piece with a wire connected to it that sits next to the cylinder. I am able to slide it off but still unable to remove the cylinder. I am hoping someone can show me the trick to removing the cylinder.

There should be a small hole in the housing around the cylinder towards the back. The key needs to be turned to the "ON" position before the button will depress. Then just slide the cylinder out.
