Is it possible to change my transfer case output bearing? Today i was junt the truck and decided to check my driveshaft, and when i gave it a shake (up and down) i noticed alot of play...then i see it was the bearing in the transfer case..So is it a job that i can do without spliting the case or removing it?

Also, what kind of fluid can i put in the t-case? i have 80-90 fluid for my diffs, would that work?

Becasue the bearing probly casued the seal to go bad and i noticed a dark stain forom the fluid always leaking out

I have a 1354 split at the house when i get home ill look at it and tell you what it looks like. I think you will have to split the case but i have been wrong before.

ok thanks...i dont mind taking out the case only becasue their pretty light and i could do it on a weekend...but if i dont then even better

You have to split your BW 4405 to replace the bearing..... sorry.
