Check engine light on. Code reading P0715

Hey good people.. This code is saying that the input turbine speed shaft sensor is malfunctioning. Would this particular code make the transmission buck shifting between 1st and second gear? I went to auto zone. And they sold me a vehicle speed sensor which was incorrect. A place I will no longer go to have my codes read. Anyway, can anyone help?

P0715 would cause shifting issues. The TSS electrical connector can be accessed with the pan and filter removed, but to replace the sensor you have to disassemble the transmission.
